Pan de Amerikana, The upside down restaurant
It was my cousin who invited me to join her to have lunch at Pan de Amerikana. At first I thought maybe she just wanted to have some pandesal (bread roll) for lunch *weird* because usually in the Philippines, when you hear Pan de +something, most likely it's a bakery, and Filipinos would love to eat pandesal at breakfast. Then she said that the place is nice and it's interesting because it's an upside down restaurant. So I got thrilled to see the place and said yes for a Sunday morning jog and brunch at Pan de Amerikana.
So we went and I was impressed and surprised not just because it's an upside down restaurant, but because they serve good and very cheap Filipino food as well. They have Adobo, Bicol express, Chicken pandan and a lot more! Ranging from Php40 to php100. They also have Halo-halo! :D The place is very cozy and relaxing, an indoor garden setting while having lunch or dinner... I just love the place, food and the idea.
Although it's weird Pan de Amerikana then Filipino food? But who cares? As long as they serve great food, that's all that matters! :D
You definitely have to check it out! :D

ENCHANTED KINGDOM!
I was never a fan of carnival or theme parks but I decided to join my workmates on their trip to Enchanted Kingdom. I'm really scared of those roller coaster loops, had a phobia with their haunted house booths, and I thought I'm not going to have fun at Enchanted Kingdom. But I surely DID! :P
Funny the first booth we tried was the 4D theater and that time the featured film was Dora the explorer! Haha I know but we just enjoyed it like those kids who were with us in the room.
And after that they started to talk about going to Space shuttle! And I freezed for a bit because it's the most frightening ride for me... I was thinking of not joining them but I'm scared that they might tease me... In my mind I was thinking of what should I do to prevent them from going to that ride... but then when we were approaching space shuttle and all of them just went straight to it, I just started to pray. lol SURPRISINGLY after the ride and eventhough I felt a bit dizzy I shouted and I said I LOVED IT! haha Crazy but I did enjoy it although I was trembling because it was too intense but I really did enjoy it and after that I starved! lol My energy got drained by space shuttle!
After that we ate, had lunch and just strolled through the park. Went to some souvenir shops.
I already got tired because of space shuttle and it was only my 2nd ride that day. Then some of them tried anchors away and that one I really refused, I heard a lot of negative feedbacks about that ride. Then after we went to Rio Grande Rapids. I enjoyed rio grande rapids but I got wet! There was this part where we needed to pass through a waterfalls and I was even telling the girl in front of me that she will get wet due to that falls but then that large life-saver-like thing spinned and I'm the one who got hit by that waterfalls. Grrrr
Eventhough I was only able to try 3 attractions I really had fun. I hope I will be able to go back but I'm not sure if I will do space shuttle again. haha I know I said I loved it, but I guess that was due to the feeling of relief after that extreme roller coaster ride. I really liked rio grande rapids, but I need to bring couple of pair of clothes if I will keep on riding that thing again and again.

Boracay, I will always love

When you say Boracay here in Manila most people will just say; "Boracay? It's dirty already", "Palawan is better", "Boracay is crowded." I just recently visited Boracay, last May 3 to 6, 2010 and I should say I still can't get over the place, even my friends who joined me are still having their hang-over of it. Pure white sand, affordable hotels and restaurants, exciting water activities, a lot of way to enjoy under the sun. 1st day was excruciating, 2 to 3 hrs of travel from Manila to Kalibo Airport to Caticlan port to Boracay, and when we arrived at the hotel we just ate for a short while and lay down and watched tv (lol) and in the evening we went to "Chillout" to have some beer before we called it a day. 2nd day was the swimming day! After having brekfast in our hotel (We checked in at Island Nook, hotel is nice and comfy and they serve very good persian food ) we went to the beach and soaked ourselves into the water and ordered some fruitshakes at La reserve, We should have tried Jonah's, they said their fruitshakes are great. We went to I love BBQ for lunch and I swear they have the best chicken bbq! And in the evening, dinner and PARTY TIME at club paraw, and they have the best pastas. You cannot and/or should not miss the everyday party at club paraw or anywhere in Boracay or you just wasted your time going there if you will not have a night out! 3rd day, technically our last day so we went island hopping and snorkeling! YEY It was my first time to do snorkeling but I'm glad I was able to learn fast! lol We then stopped over at Shangri-la Boracay area and we soaked in again. The area where Shangri-la is at is very nice and serene and we stayed there for a while. Unofrtunately due to snorkeling we got so tired and we slept early and woke up late the next day! DAMN. 4th day, departure day! Since we arrived in Boracay I kept on telling my friends that I need to try Chocolate Sin at ZUZUNI and I did! 1 hour before being picked up by the transfer services men, we rushed to Zuzuni and I bought the famous chocolate sin! To my surprise, it's just a small cupcake-like bread with chocolate filling and an Ice cream on top and it's good! Then headed back to Island nook, ate their chicken kebab, my favorite and then by 9am we bid our goodbyes to Boracay. I know I will keep on going back to Boracay, I'm in love.
